I promised I would post an update to my Rag Rug Tutorial after I washed the rug.
Here's a picture after one washing in a top loading washer.
It was on the floor in front of the sink for about 3 months before I washed it so it received heavy wear.
This is easily my favorite of all the different kinds of rag rugs I have made. It stays flat, and is very cushy to stand on. It traps dirt and pet fur and is easily shaken out in between washings.

I might have to try one of those rugs - goodness know, we have enough extra fabric.
Thanks for dropping by my blog and leaving a comment! 8-)))
I really love this rug, and posted the link on the Threadbenders yahoo group.
Oh Yes!!! this is definitely something that I will do this winter.... thank you for posting it and doing the tutorial, it is much appreciated. I can see three such rugs in my future.
A fabulous idea for anyone who does "Scrap Therapy" tons of 2" squares already cut!!! I don't know if I have 4000 yet tho- it will be more scrappy too as I won't have a whole row of each fabric!
Terrific idea - I can never find rugs the color I want - - now I can!!
Where would I find double knits material to make these with? A friend of mine made one with the knits and it turned out great!
